The perfect playlist

In the January issue of Santé you can read how to put together the perfect playlist. Get started yourself with the tips and playlists that we have put together as an example.

Some useful websites for compiling your playlist:

  • You will find a lot of running music on Jog.fm. For each song, it is clearly indicated how many beats per minute (BPM) the song has and for which running speed the song is suitable.
  • Find the BPM for a large number of songs. Unfortunately the database is not complete. Alternatively, you can Google the name and artist of a song, often you will quickly find the number of beats per minute.
  • Find music by the number of beats per minute.

The perfect playlist for running Your playlist preferably contains music with an exciting, rhythmic beat between 120 and 140 BPM. Depending on how fast you run, you can adjust your playlist; fast runners can add more songs with high BPM.

The perfect playlist for strength training
On average, your playlist should count music with 112 BPM. Continue to choose songs with powerful and motivational lyrics.

The perfect playlist for cardio
Your cardio playlist should have a rhythmic flow of around 111 BPM.

Use our playlists for inspiration and, above all, supplement them with your favorite music.
