The best location. Sit with your back and head propped up on pillows placed against the wall or the headboard, not slouched, as the spine should not be curved. You put a cushion on your thighs and the book on it, the light source above or behind you.
Why not ? Lying on your side dog-legged, provided the spine is straight. A thin, firm pillow is used to elevate the head and the book is placed at a distance on a support, arms supported on both sides. On the back, we also place a cushion under the knees in case of circulatory problems or lower back pain. And we hold the book above us.
To forbid. Leaning on the side:the spine is curved and the arm stiffens. On the stomach:we compress our digestive and respiratory organs and we arch our backs, which causes pain in the cervical and lumbar muscles.
