Autumn has come, the temperatures have dropped and when we look at the weather forecast, they make us want to wrap ourselves in a plaid and stay on the couch all day. But if the rain and the falling leaves make us melancholic, this season is also the opportunity tocook good meals who come to warm us. The star of the season? The chestnut ! Chestnut-based autumn recipes:how to cook them?
Cooking chestnuts often grilled over a wood fire. If you do not have a chimney, you can follow our different solutions:
- To cook the chestnuts in the oven: preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Score the chestnuts with a knife to form an X on the flat side of the fruit shell. On a baking sheet, place them for about twenty minutes at 200 degrees. Add a little water regularly so they don't burn too much on top.
- Cook the chestnuts in a pan: Slice the chestnuts and brown them for 20 minutes in a little oil in a pan. Remember to return them regularly.
- Cook the chestnuts in the microwave: incise them then place them in a special microwave dish filled one third with salted water. Close the dish with a lid. You can also take a classic dish and cover it with cling film. Heat for 5 minutes in the microwave.
- Cook the chestnuts in a pan: Immerse the shelled in a pot of boiling water for 45 minutes. As soon as your chestnuts are soft inside, they are ready.
