Although you can physically handle distances of more than an hour, sometimes your mind says something else while you're running. A little distraction while walking can be the solution.
Keep the distance
Knowing how far you've walked can be a huge motivator. Focus on that 5 kilometers over and over again, before you know it you have reached your final goal.
Don't stop the beat
Listen to your favorite music, with a nice beat of course, to run to. Compiling a two-hour long playlist is a nice job for next weekend. Share your favorite workout songs with us.
Audiobook
Instead of listening to music, you can also set up an audiobook for the distraction. You might run inside on the treadmill in bad weather, an ideal situation to turn on a movie.
Run for someone
Before you start, think about someone:a source of inspiration, or someone who could use some support and imagine that you are walking this distance ahead of him/her.
