'Help! The last 3 kilos just don't want to come off!" "I'll keep that belly fat." "I've lost a lot of weight, but I've been standing still for a while." "My fat percentage is going up and that while I exercise a lot." Recognizable?
Do you recognize yourself in any of these statements?
Then it may be that you eat (too) many of the following products, or have included them in your daily diet. Apply the 3 moments rule to these products:you can enjoy them 3 moments a week.
1. Cheese &Peanut Butter
Eating cheese every day is too much. Opt for avocado or hummus if you like the creaminess. The same goes for peanut butter.
2. Nuts
It is fine to eat nuts every day, but hardly anyone can hold on to one hand and continue to snack on them.
3. Butter
Fitness people (with a six pack) get their healthy fats from cold oils such as linseed and a dash of olive oil and fatty fish. Occasionally pure fresh butter with a romantic dinner or breakfast is fine.
4. Fruit juice and smoothies
It remains difficult for many people to stick to one small glass. Drink a cup of herbal tea or (warm) water with lemon in the morning instead of fruit juice and you will have shrunk in your waist for a month, really! Have a smoothie as a snack, not as a glass with a meal.
5. Bread
Bread does not make you fat, but it is if you eat it too much and too often and don't move. If you have the opportunity to make a salad, take fruit and vegetables with you to work, do so and vary it with bread. Try to get yourself used to eating bread no more than three times a week, 2 to 3 slices at a time.
This also applies to pasta, rice and potatoes. Vary! And skip it once. Tip:especially after a Burgundian weekend or with a lazy evening ahead!
Small changes in your diet make a big difference. Try it!
