The Hell Week is a week in which you turn your life around. In one week you do everything you know you should do. You don't settle for 'good enough' and you work your ass off.
What is Hell Week?
Erik Bertrand Larssen is the man behind the Helweek. He based the week, which he wrote a book about, on the Norwegian army week of the same name, in which young soldiers are pushed to their limits physically and mentally. That is exactly what your own Helweek is all about.
What do you do in a Helweerk?
In the Helweek you get up every day at 05:00, without snoozing, you go to bed sharp at 22:00, you are not allowed to watch TV, you hardly use social media, you have to exercise for an hour every day and you go out every day work the seam. A chat with your colleagues? You should keep that to a minimum. Oh, and on the night from Thursday to Friday you are not allowed to sleep at all.
And then?
Then you worked your ass off from Monday morning 05:00 to Sunday evening 22:00. How you feel afterwards will be different for everyone. Hopefully you will see that you can handle quite a bit mentally and physically. Or as the writer says:'When you turn eighty, you have lived a total of 4160 weeks. Maybe this will be the week in which you learn the most.'
The book Helweek is for sale for €24.95 via Bol.com .
