These tips will help you work on your push-ups technique and improve your push-ups.
A common mistake during the push-up is raising your buttocks in the air. This is because the push-up becomes too hard for your core and you try to compensate. But that makes the exercise a lot less effective. Plan therefore more often to strengthen your core.

Try to bring your shoulder blades together as you lower. Imagine that there is a pen in between and that you are squeezing it. As soon as you push back up, your shoulder blades move apart.
By pressing your armpits close to your upper body, you activate your large upper back muscles. These muscles keep your upper body strong and stable during the push-up, making it easier to perform the push-up.
With this exercise you slowly work towards a push-up.
