In three days, May 28, is World Menstrual Hygiene Day . This day falls in May, International Masturbation Month! This month of May therefore combines two subjects that are still taboo in our society:menstruation and masturbation. With the international initiative "Menstruation", launched by Womanizer and Lunette (Lunacopine in France), the two companies combine these two taboos to make a clinical study.

Dr. Christopher Ryan Jones, a clinical psychologist, sex therapist and host of the “Confessions Of A Sex Therapist” podcast, is one of the experts working with the two companies on this study. He explains:“We know that masturbation can have positive effects on general health and well-being, such as the relief of pain caused by migraine or menstruation for example. There are already studies that informally document the benefits of masturbation for menstrual pain, but none of them are fully dedicated to this issue. The "Menstruation" initiative launched by Womanizer and Lunette will be the first worldwide survey dedicated to this subject and will, in a few months, provide reliable results. It is a necessary study that the two companies have decided to finance. »

Nothing could be simpler:they will have to masturbate to relieve their menstrual pain for three months. After each menstrual period, all participants will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to share their experience. After three months, the results will be analyzed and shared. Of course, the participants take part in the initiative anonymously.
