If the scar is red, brown or even slightly swollen, the dermatologist can often make it regress almost completely. And it has nothing to do with its size! On the other hand, it is less obvious if the mark is white. It sometimes takes up to a year and several sessions of laser+injections for a definitive result.
In any case, you have to see the dermatologist. If the scar is swollen and bigger than the incision, the latter flattens it with corticosteroid injections. If it is less, we apply, at home, silicone gel or scar-reducing dressings. For acne or reddish or brown marks, the laser works well. With a white scar, it is best to do a medical tattoo that mimics skin pigment. On the price side, it's about 60 € for the injection to 500 € max for the laser package to treat acne marks, for example.
