Are ovulation tests effective?

Who is it for?

To those who are anxious and have been trying for several months, but nothing helps, it doesn't work. Efficiency pros (we don't work for nothing) who want to know the best time to achieve fertilization!

How do we use it?

The ovulation test targets the period when you are most fertile, by detecting the hormone that triggers ovulation. At a very specific moment in our cycle (to be determined using the instructions), we urinate every morning on rising, on a strip, until the test is positive (a man on the screen). When it is, we get laid during the 2 most favorable days for conception.

Is it working or will it stress me out?

As the tests target the days favorable to fertilization, sexual intercourse during this period is more likely to be fertile.

But we're not getting carried away.

You can have a positive ovulation test and not get pregnant for physiological reasons (cervical mucus that acts as a barrier to sperm, blocked tubes, etc.). Other factors can also come into play, such as stress or having taken the pill for a while. So we start by de-stressing. The average time to get pregnant is 18 months, and there is no question of fertility before 3 years of unsuccessful trying. This is why the medical profession is not in favor of using tests after 3 months without success. Better make love when you feel like it!
