The effect of time. The loosening of the teeth is a normal aging process:over time, they are less "anchored" in the alveolar bone and can fall out. Certain factors accelerate bone loss:tartar linked to poor dental hygiene, periodontal diseases (which affect the supporting tissues of the tooth), tobacco, alcohol, etc. The dentist extracts the tooth when it becomes dangerous for the tooth. bone or gum. Without mentioning the aesthetic side, an unfilled space in the mouth has consequences on chewing, digestion and speech.
The technique that works. The best option remains the placement of a crown, which reconstructs the visible part of the tooth. It can be metal (for molars, for example), ceramic-metal or entirely ceramic. If the root is absent, an implant must be placed (by means, among other things, of a false root introduced into the bone).
Dress and price. A crown ensures ten years of tranquility at least. If it is ceramic (the most expensive), it is necessary to count between 600 and 800 €.
