Living with plants would increase life expectancy

Good news for all those who have a green thumb, living with plants would increase their life expectancy. In any case, this is the conclusion of a new study conducted by Harvard’s School of Public Health . Researchers have shown that women with vegetation in their homes would not only be in better physical and mental shape but would also and above all be likely to live longer. The study also reveals that those who live near green spaces or parks would benefit from unsuspected benefits:increased feeling of well-being, reduction of stress, reduction of circulatory diseases, fight against isolation... not to mention the improvement of the state of health thanks to the practice of a physical activity (and yes, living near a green space makes you want to go for a jog more!)

A vitamin D cure

How did these scientists come to such conclusions? For eight years, they followed 100,000 American women in their daily lives. And the result was clear:women living next to green spaces and having plants in their interior had a 12% lower mortality rate compared to those living in an environment without vegetation. The explanation would hide behind vitamin D which would help reduce our states of anxiety and depression.

So if you're not a fan of green plants, don't hesitate to go for a stroll in the parks near your home as soon as possible!
