Besides the fact that we do not really want to enter a sauna in summer, in winter it has many benefits for our body! Sauna is a practice that comes from Scandinavian countries:it consists of staying in a room where the temperature is high (between 60 and 100°C) and the humidity is particularly low. It is usual during a session to make three passages of 10 to 15 minutes with a break between each immersion of a good quarter of an hour. You can then take the opportunity to take a shower and get rid of the sweat. It is also an opportunity to rehydrate because if the sauna does not actually make you lose weight (sorry if we are disappointing…), it does, on the other hand, make you lose water. We therefore do not lose weight, fortunately this moment of well-being has other advantages to offer us... we tell you everything!
We can't take the cold anymore! The first benefit of the sauna is therefore psychological:finally an opportunity to free yourself from your sweater and to be warm. In Germany, taking care of your body is essential, the sauna is appreciated there after work for its relaxing effects (the nudist spa, should we try it or not?!) but also detoxifying. Thanks to heat and perspiration, toxins are effectively eliminated from the body, the pores open and are purified. Clear ? The skin is smooth, soft and will retain its elasticity better over time despite the cold outside which dries it out. This strong heat is also used to relax the limbs and relieve muscle pain. But winter is also the period when our body is most vulnerable to colds, bronchitis... The sauna is recommended to fight against all these diseases thanks to its hot, dry air which frees the lungs and the respiratory tract.
This year, the winter will be hot and dry! (In any case, that's what we wish!)
