Gerard Poels writes on NRC.nl that he has been cycling to work for eight years. He only took the car eight times and he leaves at the same time four days a week for his 40-minute bike ride.
His statistics:during 2,532 rides, he rained during 249 wet. That's about 10 percent. KNMI confirms its findings. If you are outside for an hour, you have about a 10 percent chance of getting wet.
