Covid-19:how do I know if I'm sick?

What is the incubation period for Covid-19?

The incubation period is the period between contamination and the appearance of the first symptoms. The incubation period for COVID-19 is 3 to 5 days in general, however it can extend up to 14 days. During this period, the subject may be contagious:they may carry the virus before the onset of symptoms or at the onset of weak signals.

What should I do if I have the signs of Covid-19 disease?

What to do:
1- I get tested, I isolate myself and I respect barrier gestures
2- I list the people I could have infected
3- If my test is positive, I monitor my health and I remain isolated

Covid-19:what should I do if my test is positive?

I remain isolated !!! To avoid contaminating my relatives and other people and thus prevent the spread of the virus.

UNTIL WHEN TO ISOLATE ME?

  • My doctor will let me know, but I must be isolated for at least 7 days after the first signs of illness appear. At the end of this period, if I no longer have any signs of the disease, I can come out of isolation.
  • During the 7 days following the end of my isolation, I rigorously wear a mask and strictly respect the barrier measures.
  • If after these 7 days, I still have a fever, I must remain isolated. Once I have no more fever, I wait 2 days before ending my isolation.
  • If necessary, I will be given a work stoppage.

Why is Covid-19 a dangerous virus?

Because it is very contagious:each infected person will contaminate at least 3 people in the absence of protective measures; and that a person infected but not yet experiencing symptoms can infect other people.
