Until the 8th month... If the pregnancy goes off without a hitch, nothing prevents you from playing the girls of the air! It is even one of the safest means of transport for a pregnant woman. If you opt for Ryanair, Iberia or Easyjet, from the 7th month, you must present a recent letter from the doctor attesting that you are fit to travel. If there are no complications, travel is authorized until the end of the 8th month. So be careful, the return ticket must be used before the 35th week!
… even up to the 9th. At Air France, American Airlines or Lufthansa, if the pregnancy is normal, you can travel until the end of the 8th month, without any particular formalities. In the 9th, it is still possible, but you must obtain a medical transport agreement.
We take some precautions. We warn at the time of booking (to board in priority and benefit from a better reception). For more comfort, the seat belt is placed under the belly. In flight, we drink a lot of water. On long hauls, we wear compression tights to avoid the risk of phlebitis. And we ask for a seat on the aisle side, just to get up easily to stretch your legs.
