This is the discovery that should delight phobics of the bite. In the United States, scientists at Northwestern University have developed a connected patch, the size of a postage stamp, allowing us to take stock of our state of health without having to be stung. Composed of several micro-sensors, this patch works thanks to our perspiration which contains a lot of information concerning our state of health:molecules, ions, proteins, minerals... So, you just have to put the patch directly on the skin and it , in contact with sweating, changes color according to the data collected which is sent in real time to a dedicated application.
Tested for the moment on athletes, in particular on cyclists, this patch could in the future replace the blood test to obtain information on the health of patients. It could also be very useful for monitoring the health of people with chronic diseases. We can't wait for this device to see the light of day in France!
