Great, an hour of sports, but for many it also brings a lot of annoyance with it. For example, a quarter of the women are mainly irritated by smelly fellow athletes.
Stinky athletes
A sports survey by Spiroflor Sport Warm among more than 1,000 Dutch people shows that many women dislike smelly fellow athletes. Men are less bothered by this. They are annoyed when fellow athletes act tough. In addition, a quarter of the respondents think that exercising with a bare stomach/bark is really not possible (22 percent). High-rise white sports socks and not wearing a sports bra are also absolutely not done.

Still, most Dutch people enjoy working out together. 44 percent of athletes prefer to work up a sweat alone. Remarkable:women prefer to exercise during the week and men exercise considerably more during the week and at the weekend.
Lose weight
The research also shows that the Dutch generally exercise to build up a better condition (62 percent) and because it makes us feel better (52 percent). A large proportion of the Dutch also exercise for social contact (19 percent). For a third of women, losing weight is also often an important reason to go to the gym.
