Are we exercising too little or are we sitting too much?
The best answer to this question is probably a combination of both options. Nevertheless, there have been several studies over the past year that have pointed out the dangers of sitting for hours in a day.
Tips to sit less
– Go outside for a walk during your lunch break. Get up as much as possible in between by going to the toilet regularly, making tea for your colleagues or by walking by a colleague on another floor.
– Fold the laundry, make a phone call… Some chores can be done very well standing do, make use of it.
– Cook yourself a healthy meal. You are working standing up and you get something tasty and healthy in return.
