Exercising twice a day can be good for achieving your goals, but there are a number of points to consider.
1. Don't do two hard workouts
A heavy training demands a lot from your body, after that your body needs time to recover. If you did a heavy workout in the morning, it's better to opt for a less intense workout in the evening.
2. 1x cardio, 1x strength training
Split your cardio and strength training exercises. Do you want to lose a few pounds? According to chiropractor Julie Sieben, it is best to start with cardio in the morning.
3. Do the simplest exercises in the evening
By training in the morning, your muscles will already be tired. By doing the 'easiest' exercises in the evening, you prevent your tired muscles from training incorrectly. If you perform exercises incorrectly, you have an increased risk of injuries. The easiest exercises are those that work the fewest muscle groups at the same time.
4. Don't train too long
A maximum of 45 minutes per training is sufficient if you exercise twice a day.
