Set priorities
Anyone can run a marathon. Yes, you read that right, but you have to do something for it. If you want to run a marathon, you have to make time and train. A lot of training. Do you have a dip while walking or do you really not feel like getting off the couch? Don't listen to that negative voice in your head. You have set yourself a goal. Make sure you achieve it with these 5 motivational tips:
1. Too little less
Agree with yourself that you can take it easy today, but that you will train for half an hour. Due to the easy effort you still go outside. bet you'll be glad you went afterwards?
2. Running buddy
Find a running buddy. This is not only much more fun, but you also immediately have a stick behind the door if you don't feel like going.
3. 10-minute rule
Agree with yourself that you will run for ten minutes. That way you are still active. Moreover, once you train, those ten minutes are over in no time, so there is a good chance that you will run longer.
4. See what your friends have been up to
You really don't feel like putting on your shoes? Then check the running apps from Runkeeper, Strava or Nike to see what distance your running friends have run today. If you see that they are having a good time, you probably don't want to be left behind, do you?
5. Reward
Want to sit on the couch? It's much nicer to relax after you've been active. Then reward yourself with a piece of dark chocolate, a good movie and enjoy the feeling that you did exercise.
