When the sun breaks through, it's nice to go outside for a walk. No idea where to go for a walk? These are some ideas.
NS has mapped out 46 walks for you, from station to station or a walk with the same start and end point.
There are four new walks:
- Park Lingezegen:Elst – Arnhem South – Arnhem Central, 7.5, 9 or 16 km
This walk passes three NS stations. You walk through the new landscape park Park Lingezegen with dikes, ditches, young forest plantations, but also centuries-old walnut trees. The second part of the route goes through the floodplains of the Rhine, the rugged Meinerswijk. Green, but still close to the buildings.
- Fort de Roovere:Bergen op Zoom, 18 km – by bus 13 or 16 km
Walking through extensive forests, country estates and past an old fortress that is part of the West Brabant Waterline. You walk back to the station through the historic center of Bergen op Zoom. A mix of nature and culture.
- Land of Ravenstein:Ravenstein, 9 or 16 km
Between Nijmegen and Oss, the Meuse meanders through a wide landscape with a few old villages. Walk through the floodplains, follow quiet asphalt roads and in summer make the crossing with the pedestrian ferry to medieval Batenburg.
- De Bretten:Halfweg-Zwanenburg – Sloterdijk, 10 km
Stroll through a rugged piece of nature while flats, railways and highways are always nearby. This adventurous route is also suitable for (older) children:crawl together under fallen trees, clamber over fences via a transfer and cross the ditch with a pull ferry.
