Did you take the elevator or the escalator this morning? Damn you… Today the National Stair Climbing Week has started. A good reason to take the stairs and follow these tips to exercise more.
1. Download a pedometer A pedometer keeps track of how many steps you take all day long. Interesting to know and motivating at the same time:if you set a step goal, you are challenged to take a few extra steps every day. Many smartphones come with an app with a pedometer as standard. Isn't that the case? Then download the free Moves app.
2. Go outside during lunch break
Try to go for a walk every day. For example, make it a habit to do that during your lunch break. Even if it's not very sunny outside, it's nice to get out in the fresh air.
3. Quality time during a walk
Go out with your partner or family at the weekend. Don't feel like walking around aimlessly? NS has mapped out various walks from and between stations. Get hiking inspiration.
4. Walk around the block every now and then
Have you been sitting all day and not exercising in the evening? Walk around the block after work to get some exercise.
5. Get more inspiration to move more
