Exercising makes you happy, but as with many things, it can become too much.
When do you exercise enough and what is too much?
According to a study published in The Lancet Psychiatry You get the most benefits if you exercise for 45 minutes three to five days a week. Aerobics, cycling and team sports in particular contribute to your mental health, but lighter forms of exercise such as walking, gardening and cleaning also make you happier.
Surprisingly, the research shows that you can also overdo exercise when it comes to your mental health. People who exercised more than 23 times a month or for longer than 90 minutes at a time were found to have poorer mental health.
