Are you dieting and not losing weight? Are you "paying attention" and even gaining weight? So, rather than counting calories, just limit bad fats (because yes, there are good ones), says a study published in Cell Metabolism and conducted by researcher Kevin Hall of the National Institutes of Health ( NIH), in the United States.
To reach these conclusions, Dr. Kevin Hall asked 19 overweight participants to eat a balanced diet for 5 days and then either to adopt a diet with 30% fewer calories for 6 days or to drastically reduce their bad fats (over the same duration). Then they reversed and so on.
Results ? Over the 6-day periods, participants who lowered fat lost 463 grams versus 245 grams for those who lowered calories. Like what, there is no point in going on a diet. It's all about eating well (and having fun once in a while)!
