Huuum, the raw cookie dough… Too good, right? It's true, raw cake batter is quite good (we've all already tasted it, haven't we?). What we know less is that it can hold unpleasant surprises. Starting with the development of the intestinal bacterium E.Coli, originally harmless but which can cause serious food poisoning. In any case, this is what the survey carried out by the Food and Drug Administration, the American organization in charge of health standards for food and drugs, reports.
As a result, the Food and Drug Administration has been responsible for establishing a list of reflexes to adopt in order to guard against this kind of inconvenience. It is necessary, for example, to avoid consuming raw pasta or preparations intended to be cooked (because only cooking destroys the bacterium Escherichia Coli, of its full name), follow the cooking instructions carefully, wash your hands and clean well surfaces after contact with raw food preparation products. And whenever possible, be sure to keep raw foods separate from others.
These recommendations must be followed to the letter, especially for the most fragile people:children, pregnant women and the elderly. Infection with the E.Coli bacteria causes digestive disorders such as diarrhea and in 5 to 8% of cases, elimination of red blood cells and the appearance of kidney failure.
Maybe we'll take our troubles patiently and wait for it to be cooked, right?
