This diet consists, as its name suggests, of banning foods containing gluten, which is a mixture of proteins. This diet can be used by intolerant people, or simply by people who want to lose weight, reduce fatigue, relieve stomach pain or improve their physical performance.
First of all, you should know that gluten is present in no less than 60% of our diet, which does not make the task easy. It is found in wheat and in grains such as barley and rye. The goal is not to weaken the body by traumatizing it too quickly with the sudden cessation of gluten which, we remember, has always been an integral part of our diet.
It will therefore be necessary to gradually move away from "traditional" foods such as bread, cakes, cereals, pasta, sauces and beer, which contain wheat, to turn to certified "gluten-free" equivalents ( this is most often clearly stated on the packaging packets). Many shops also specialize in this “trend”, so it is no longer difficult to practice this type of diet. It will also be necessary to favor foods such as seeds and nuts as well as eggs, meats, fish, vegetables and dairy products.
This diet is described as providing general well-being, more energy and better digestion. It also helps soothe the symptoms of celiac disease. Many people are intolerant to gluten without knowing it, a test of a few days will allow us to know if our body feels better with or without gluten.
