H.N:Helmut Newcake, created in 2011, was bought out a year ago. We now have two stores in Paris and a third certainly in the making...

Our production workshop allows us to guarantee the exclusion of all traces of gluten and certify our products to our customers. This is Helmut's great strength. Our producers are selected with the greatest attention to sublimate their products.
What's more, we make a point of honor in the research and development department. Indeed, we invest heavily in this area, the proof is, we can offer the widest gluten-free range to date. And of course, it is very important for us to be able to continue to offer a diversified offer to our customers. Helmut Newcake is unlimited pleasure, while taking care of your well-being. Small cakes, desserts and pies, bakery, can you tell us about this Helmut Newcake gluten-free pastry range that everyone loves?
H.N:At Helmut Newcake, our initial core business remains pastry! Our goal is to offer the great classics of French pastry by revisiting them to delight all taste buds, intolerant or not.
Also, our chefs make unique creations according to the seasons, creations that change every two months. For example, this summer, we made the mojito pie, a huge success! With us, our customers obviously find our essentials, such as éclairs, lemon meringue pie or Paris-Brest.
Demand is growing, both from individuals but also from hotels, restaurants and businesses. We are in great demand for catering services, fashion shows, sporting events... We already have major Parisian hotels among our clients.
At Helmut Newcake, we like to take up the challenges that our customers throw at us. That's why, last October, we managed to create our gluten-free butter croissant and pain au chocolat recipe. After four long months of research, the result is final, they leave like “hot cakes” and are victims of their success. We are the only ones to offer these gluten-free pastries coming out of the oven every morning, to the delight of our customers.
And if you like financiers, cookies, madeleines, cakes, canelés… you will be served! Our mantra is to please everyone while remaining generous. And it looks like the challenge has been met!
You also offer gluten-free groceries, what are your bestsellers?
H.N:We dedicate an entire space in the store to offer our customers an exclusive selection of the best gluten-free products that we have unearthed from our partner craftsmen.
Moreover, for muesli fans, I recommend our famous homemade muesli, and for the most gourmet, our jams and our meringues will make you crack.
The Lunch formula is very popular, could you give us the recipe for this success?
H.N:Being located in the center of the Parisian business district, it was very important for us to offer an alternative for a gluten-free lunch in the district. It is very difficult to guarantee 100% gluten-free meals, since gluten is present everywhere...
Our expertise and our certified laboratory allow us to move forward and thus be able to offer dishes without any risk of contamination or any traces of gluten, with a drastic selection of ingredients. It seemed essential to us to offer such a solution for those who cannot take advantage of traditional restaurants and bakeries. Every lunchtime, we therefore offer sandwiches (with lactose-free, vegan option), quiches as well as daily specials that vary according to the seasons and our selection of products.
And for the future, a good plan to share?
H.N:You don't know? This is THE big news for the new school year! We have just opened our second Parisian boutique, next to the Louvre, at 144 rue St Honoré!
This opening represents a new chapter for us. We are very happy to open an even larger space, we have about 25 seats to receive our customers.
