The rotation of the spine and your breathing movement massage all internal organs in this exercise. The upper back is stretched and the chest area and shoulders open, creating space for your heart and lungs. You can even do this pose while lying on the beach!
This is how you work:
– Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor.
- Spread your arms at shoulder height.
– Cross your right leg over your left leg and place your left hand on your right thigh or knee.
– Lower your legs to the left and turn your head to the right.
- Place your right arm loosely next to your face.
– Lie in this position for a few minutes and breathe slowly.
– Bring your arms by your sides and use your abs to bring your legs back to the center.
– Feel the effect of the exercise and then repeat on the other side.
