5 tips to keep sports fun

It is clear that many people make good intentions, it is so busy at the gym. With these tips you will still go to the gym in February, March and the rest of the year.

  1. Don't run too fast
Don't go from never exercising to training hard five times a week. Chances are you won't last and you increase your risk of injury if you overtrain yourself. If you're injured at home, you won't get any closer to your sporting goal anyway.
  2. Make a plan
If you train for something, it's a good stick behind the door. So make an appointment with the personal trainer who walks around the gym. He or she can help you create a plan that will help you achieve your goals. And maybe you will soon have the courage to register yourself for an event or competition.
  3. Find something you like
Try out as many sports, equipment and classes as you can until you find something that appeals to you. Something you enjoy is much easier to stick to.
  4. Make social contacts
Exercising together works for many people as motivation. Did you join the gym on your own? You can also provide motivational contacts. Make contacts at the gym or in the cafeteria. If you know that it is fun before, during and after exercise, you have extra motivation to drag yourself out of your lazy chair.
  5. Motivate yourself
Record the days on which you exercise and treat them like any other appointment you make, so you don't just cancel. Collect fitspiration on Pinterest, hang an inspiring quote on your mirror, follow fitbloggers, or find another way to motivate yourself.
