When you go to the gym, you also want to see results. However? Ask yourself the following three questions and discover whether you are actually working efficiently in the gym.
1. Do you go to the gym with a plan?
There are many people who walk into the gym without a clear idea of how they are going to train that day. If you want to achieve results, it is best to take into account the four pillars:behaviour, nutrition, training and recovery. The better the four pillars are aligned, the better your result will be. What exactly results mean is different for everyone. But it is difficult to measure whether you have achieved results if you just do something every time or if you always do something different.
2. Do you take your phone into the room?
Getting messages on the assembly line during your workout is a huge distraction from what you're doing. Before you know it you have taken too long a break and that is not good for your training. Only use your phone for what can help you during your training. That means:no calling or WhatsApping. Of course, some fitness apps and music can help you improve the quality of your workouts. Tip if you are sensitive to distractions:put your phone on airplane mode and make sure you have an offline playlist for during your workout.
3. Do you mainly do cardio training?
If you want to get toned, it's not that efficient to put a lot of time and effort into cardio training. Nutrition plays a very important role in lowering your fat percentage. In the first instance, you will therefore have to take a closer look at your eating pattern. In addition, do not see cardio as a necessity to lose weight, but as a strategic means to burn extra calories. Do especially strength training to shape your body.
