Spices would be good for our health, this is revealed by a Chinese study that has just been published in a British journal. According to the scientists who conducted this research on nearly half a million Chinese people for several years, eating spicy food very regularly would allow greater longevity.
According to this study, people who eat spicy food every day have a 14% lower chance of dying from illness, unlike those who eat spicy food less than once a week.
The researchers explained that spicy food would prevent cancer, coronary and respiratory diseases. And if this is possible, it is because the pepper is mainly composed of capsaicin, which, according to scientists, has anti-obesity, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
So if you weren't a fan of spicy dishes, maybe now is the time to take the plunge, isn't it?
