The fight against the extra pounds is always a headache, even more so with the arrival of summer! We must limit fatty and sugary foods, increase our sports sessions and have a healthy lifestyle. But there could be a new measure to take to avoid those extra pounds:do not live in a chaotic environment! Indeed, a new Australian and American study has confirmed that having a dirty kitchen or an untidy bedroom could lead to weight gain. Amazing isn't it?

Tidy up to lose weight?

The psychological study turned out to be very simple to conduct. The researchers took a group of 90 people and split it in half. The first group was placed in a tidy kitchen, while the second was in a very untidy kitchen. Both groups had in their respective rooms:appetizer cakes, vegetables and cookies. The observation is simple, the second group ate on average 100 calories more than the first. The study concludes that the stress caused by the dirt present in a dirty room, causes a change in our eating habits and therefore makes us gain extra pounds. So we try to avoid neglecting household chores before summer!
