Getting a flat stomach by exercising alone is a long process. If you don't adjust your diet, it's an even longer process. Eating calories takes almost no time. Just think, a piece of cake goes in easily. While burning those calories in the gym can take longer than an hour.

The combination of exercise and a healthier diet is the most effective. By adjusting your eating pattern, you put your fat burning to work in an optimal way. If you train with that, you are doing well. By combining healthy food and training, you also reduce the chance of the yo-yo effect.
