5 reasons to do a gentle workout

Lately, short intense workouts have been a hit. And rightly so, because they are certainly effective. Yet there is nothing wrong with taking it easy.

1. You are a beginner
If you have been out of the running for a few months or are just starting a new sport, it is wise to start slowly. That way you can master the technique before you pick up the pace.

2. Because you like it more
Not everyone likes the feeling of exerting your body to the maximum in a short period of time. There is nothing wrong with less intensive workouts. Then maybe stick around a little longer in the gym.

3. For a change
choose an intensive HIIT workout one time and a gentle Pilates class the next. Variety is good for your body.

4. You are training for a competition
If you soon participate in a competition or endurance run where you have to last for a long time, you can't avoid practicing this while training.
