Alzheimer's is wreaking havoc around the world and in 2016 affected 900,000 people in France. This disease affects our cognitive functions, i.e. memory, language, reasoning, learning and decision-making. Research centers and associations seek to raise public awareness of this disease. In April, it was the Shazam application which joined forces with the English research center for Alzheimer's to carry out a rather original campaign day:for one day, when the application was launched, which usually finds in the blink of an eye any music requested, she would start saying "I'm sure I know that one" or "it's... it's..." before giving the title of the music . As if the application itself became affected by the disease. A concept that we find very well thought out!
Successful bet:by staging memory loss via Shazam, researchers have succeeded in reaching young audiences. The app's hesitation messages were captured more than two million times and in one day the research center site was visited by more than 5,000 curious people. A boost which, we hope, has made the disease known. Well done!
