Fortunately, fall is here, because the cold will allow us to avoid making a huge mistake for our health and more specifically our feet:wearing closed shoes without socks. We're not going to lie to each other, we've all done it in spring or summer, for the pleasure of showing off our pretty ankles with cropped pants or "floor fire" pants (7/8). This is also a trend among men. But it has to stop! And it's a matter of health...
The problem? The feet have a large number of sweat glands and sweat a lot during the day (even when it's cold):you lose about a quarter of a liter of sweat during the day! And this sweat, when it is not absorbed by the sock, can cause yeast infections. The College of Podiatry from Great Britain thus warns of the increase in these foot infections, particularly the mycosis called "athlete's foot". The solution ? Wear socks of course! But also ventilate your shoes by not wearing them every day, or place tea bags inside to absorb humidity (in addition, it prevents bad smells!).
In any case, we have been warned!
