Figure skating revolves around several essential elements:jumps, pirouettes and attitudes . In competition, figure skating has a short program and a free program.
It is a collective sport on ice which is practiced in teams made up of 12 to 20 skaters and whose public is essentially female. Cohesion and harmony are the key words for skaters to perform together circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in rhythm .
This competitive ice sport is only for couples. Whether classic or modern, ice dancing requires a lot of technique and real skill . Ice dancing calls on other qualities such as speed and flexibility .

Speed skating competitions take place on a 400-meter ice rink which is more commonly called "big track". It is thus different from the short-track that is practiced in a traditional ice rink.
The short track; meaning "short track"; is reduced speed skating which is practiced in a classic ice rink with a track of about 110m. It is a discipline more aggressive than speed skating .
True sport on ice with very strong sensations , it consists of taking a seat in a two-person or four-person bobsleigh and hurtling down the track at high speed. The bobsleigh can reach speeds estimated between 140 and 150 km/h.
We remain in the sensations with the luge since the athletes position themselves with their feet in front while lying on their backs and descend an icy slope at breakneck speed. Speeds that can even exceed peaks at 120 km/h in full competition.
Skeleton is a discipline similar to luge, except that participants lie on their stomachs. It's thanks to shoes with claws that they can manage the braking and control of their machine.
