The sitting position is the one we adopt the most during the day, whether at home, on public transport or at work. Not easy, moreover, when you exercise in an office, to leave your post for more physical activities (and not sure that our boss would agree). However, studies show that this position is not good for our brain health. Why ? Our brain works thanks to a supply (neither too low nor too high) of glucose. To maintain this contribution, it would actually be necessary to alternate during the day different postures and different standing activities... Clearly, leaving your chair more often is a real health tip!
Even if the studies remain vague concerning real harmful effects on our brain, we know that the seated position would affect the glucose intake. Walking increases the power of blood circulation, which contributes to the correct supply of our gray matter. At work, we prefer walking to transport (when possible), we take regular breaks and above all we forget the lift (in addition, we will build thighs and glutes!). At home too, simple gestures can preserve your health:cooking or talking standing up, taking Médor for longer walks... The ideal is to move a little throughout the day! So, when do we start?
