Barre is accessible, is low-impact, gives you a strong core and a beautifully shaped body. The workout basically combines ballet, pilates and yoga with core strength as a result and an accessible way to shape your body. Barre may sound like a ballerina workout, but you really don't need any ballerina skills to do this workout.

You also work less on functional strength. This is important in your daily movements. Think of walking up and down the stairs, lifting groceries or carrying your child on your arm. With traditional strength training you work on functional strength. The heart rate is also often higher during such a training, which causes fat burning.
The Barre workouts allow you to fine-tune your body. It is completely different from regular strength training, because you do a lot of repetitions, usually with your own body weight. In addition to Barre, it is recommended to add cardio workouts to your sports routine to raise your heart rate.
