Does our star sign really dictate the mood of our day? For journalist Gabrielle Lichterman, no. According to her, it is the hormones that play on our behavior. And so, the horoscope should be based on our menstrual cycle.
The journalist relies on her own experience to explain her theory. By doing a series of tests in the magazines, she noticed that her answers differed according to the period of her cycle. So she looked into the question:How do hormonal changes and menstrual cycles affect our mood?
This is how Gabrielle Lichterman decided to create the Hormone Horoscope application, which gives us our daily horoscope (based on the date of our last period). Every day, the journalist offers to explain to us how our hormones will affect our behavior. And it goes from mood to energy, extroversion, changes in habits... Even our memory!
Thus, it tells us that it is possible to have some memory loss when we have our period. Unlike the second week of ovulation, where our brain thinks faster. Gabrielle Lichterman takes the opportunity to give us some advice on how to make the most of the day.
Lichterman explains that because our menstrual cycle is repetitive, we could predict (to the extent possible) our moods. This way, it would be easier to organize our schedule with activities that we like according to our "mood". And at least, knowing the day when we will be in a dark mood, we will (perhaps) spare our Jules (for his greatest pleasure).
The journalist runs a website, hormonehoroscope.com, where you can find all kinds of information about your menstrual cycle. She also reveals her research in a book called "28 days" (meaning the average length of a cycle). The Hormone Horoscope application is available on iPhone and Android for free, but beware ladies, it is an English version.
