Yes… it’s full of phthalates (which serve to increase its elasticity) and bisphenol a; both are endocrine disruptors, which affect hormones regulating reproduction. results ? it's really not great for children and pregnant women and it could, according to some studies, promote sterility, malformations, cancers, obesity... and no matter the quantity, they have a harmful effect, even at low dosage.
… But it is much less harmful if the film is not in contact with food. the worst ? cook or reheat with it, because heat makes bisphenol a and phthalates more unstable, so they migrate more easily to food. do you just use it to keep your rice salad in the fridge? there, frankly, there is nothing to worry about.
