1. Plan your trip
Certainly when you have to travel a bit to Amsterdam, it is wise to take your travel time well. You don't want to appear at the start stressed because your train was delayed.
2. Do not wear new clothes or shoes
As tempting as it may be to put on your new shoes or workout leggings, choose your trusted running outfit. This way you can be sure that you are wearing a comfortable outfit and that nothing chafes or pinches.
3. Read the practical information again
What time are you expected where, where can you park and where can your friends stand to support you? You can find it all on the website. Go through important matters again, so that you appear prepared at the start.
4. Go to bed on time
An advice your mother could give you, but it is by far the most sensible thing to do the night before.
5. Eat a good breakfast
Start your day with a good breakfast. Make sure you don't eat anything heavy right before the competition.
6. Put all important things in your bag
Your bib number, pins to fasten it, food and drink, some paper money. Put the important things that you still have to do in the morning in a checklist in your phone.
