When it's cold and dark at night, we sometimes prefer to stay indoors rather than exercise. With these tips you will still be able to keep up with sports in the fall.
1. Do your warm-up indoors
If you're going for a run in the cold, warm up indoors. Your muscles are already warm when you are outside and that makes a difference.
2. Make sure you have the right clothes
You will get warm during your training, even if you do your training outside. Make sure you wear the right (warm) clothing to start with.
3. Sometimes it's okay to cheat a bit
Go to the gym and reward yourself with an episode of your favorite series while walking or cycling.
4. Think of the heat
A sports session will certainly make you warm. Isn't that an enticing thought with the cold outside?
5. Go exercise together
Remembering at the last minute that you would rather stay indoors is not an option.
